The Village Cheese Company is a micro cheese plant based on the estate winery concept. Our old fashion good times atmosphere will return you to a time when life was relaxed and fun. A time when delicious cheese was as close as your local dairy. When butter on your table was churned from field fresh cream just hours earlier. When a dip in the old swimming hole couldn't beat a scoop of luscious homemade ice cream.

One taste and you'll quickly discouver the flavour and texture of our authentic, traditional Canadian Farmstead Artisan Cheese. Pull up a stool and watch our master cheesemaker, Ivan Matte, in action, making cheese the old fashion way from the best fresh cow's milk available or enjoy turn of the century artifacts in our store.

We welcome tour groups of all sizes for sampling and plant tours.

Tours & Tastings

We welcome tour buses and school tours at The Village Cheese Co. Come visit our plant and watch cheese being made the old fashion way. We offer the three T's. Tours, tasting and for our school tours, a teacher resource package.

Our Cheeses

We invite you to take a minute to meet our cheesemakers, view our factory, and find out about cheese. Great cheese begins with the folks that provide us with our milk. All of our specialty dairy goods - award winning cheese and ice cream - are made from wholesome natural ingredients, provided by our local farmers.

Hours of Operation

We are open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. for tours and tasting.
Sundays in summer from 9 am
Sundays in winter from 10 am
