Welcome to Winds & Rivers, your contact for adventure opportunities in the Okanagan region. Join us for one of the tours listed, or we will customize an outdoor escape for you and your group.

Canoe and Winery tours

We drive you from Vernon or Kelowna to the shore of Okanagan Lake. After a quick lesson and safety check, you will paddle along the shore for about 90 minutes, perhaps stopping along the way for a swim.
After loading the canoes, we will tour the winery and taste the award-winning products.
Lunch follows on the patio overlooking the lake, and then we return you to your point of origin.
5-6hrs total, $75 pp. + GST

Shuswap River Canoe Cruise

From Vernon we drive to the river launch site. After a quick lesson and safety check, we will paddle down a section of the Shuswap River. Keep your eyes open for wildlife - we have seen bears, deer, coyotes and eagles. We'll have lunch along the shore, perhaps a swim, and then drive back to Vernon.
5-6hrs total, $75 pp. + GST

Kalamalka Lake Tour

Spend an afternoon or evening on the lake. Perfect for beginners - we'll show you how to canoe and include a safety lesson too. Paddle along the shore, swim or walk in Kal Park if you wish.
2-3 hrs total, $30 pp. + GST

Monashee adventure

We'll drive you to the beautiful Monashee Mountains through Lavington and Lumby to Cherryville. Watch for wildlife past Sugar Lake and be prepared for a surprise as we walk to Rainbow Falls. We'll have lunch at the Goldpanner, where you can try your hand at goldpanning. Visit artisans and artists along the way.
6-7 hrs total, $75 adults, $40 children under 12 + GST

Canoe / Camp

Sample Itinerary:
Day One - Transport from Vernon, sightsee to Mabel Lake in the Monashee, with stops for kekulis (reconstructions of Indian winter houses), bison, Shuswap Falls and the Mystic Trail. Canoe instruction, then paddle shoreline to forestry campsite. Tent overnight.
Day Two - Canoe lake or Shuswap River, shoreline picnic/weenie roast. Overnight in tent or tepee.
Day Three - Return to Vernon, 11:00am.
